Sunday, 2nd March 2008: The Undercover Show @ The Annexe
The idea, according to organiser Pijan, is to have something a bit different, something unexpected and not so run-of-the-mill, so to speak. So why not get some bands to play cover songs of bands or acts which they like (or hate); and the songs covered are not of the same “genre” or style which they have been throwing at us all these years.
Imagine a d-beat band covering Sudirman’s “Milik Siapakah Gadis Ini” or a usually blasting crust band doing Nirvana! And so here it is, The CoverUp Show Part 1! NO ORIGINAL SONG ALLOWED!
Interesting idea, interesting line-ups. looking forward to seeing the show.

A really big apology to ‘mr organizer pijan’ because Pusher may not be playing for this gig as for we’ll be playing in another gig in jb the same day.Really sorry for that because there was some mix up in our date confirming.Anyway pusher is looking forward for The Undercover Show gig part 2.
Carburetor Dung will still be playing with a surprise guess vocalist singing surprising songs.

Here’s an update for the show : FSF,The Cover Ups and Pusher are not going to play.They already pull out so now Ranomes and Gasoline Grenade will replace them. Ranomes will do Misfits cover. Another band, Bollocks? well..they may or may not be performed according to Tom..hmm..I’m looking forward to any outside KL hc/punk band who can do cover. pls get back to me quickly.Thanks.
..and still, Alak sucks! I’m going to blow his head with TNT sooner or later. beware you alak!

cool show, but i missed g. grenade and the ranomes sets since i got to go to MCPA. but i know g.g played Gersang, which is a damn good song! i love! and I also loved The Mindless Show’s set…xpdc, the beatles, and cokelat! hahahhaha…!
on behalf of tms, i would like to thank pijan, man & joe for letting us to play to play this show, thanks to those turned up and sing along. thanks to dum dum tak for letting me join them during their set. and not to forget, thanks to that punkest kid who ruined the day. or at least mine. wearing leather jacket, boots and getting drunk then kacau orang does not make you any punker than any of us. (or at least me) haahaah

shah,takde hal la.actually kiteorang takde dalam senarai list band yang main pun.last minute pijan suruh perform sbb apparatus tarik diri.time tu nizang pun dah blk.so aku bantai la main bass.dan kiteorang tak gempak sgt dlm cover mengcover nih..hehe.so lagu semalam adalah 2 dr lagu marjinal dan satu lg lagu internationale..the rest kwn2 yg main..and it was fun!!greenday..bad religion…hahaha…last skali aku jamming greenday mase form 4 dulu…hehehe…best2..show smalam best..byk ramones…huhuh..thanks pijan..and thanks kwn2 yg lain…

well, that’s the problem when we depend too much on other’s people equipment. If i’m fukkin rich i’ll buy all those PA system shit..Yeah, fuk.i still can’t afford to get all the shit eventhough i’ve been working everyday, 6 days a week! Anyway, thanks to all of you! You guys works very hard to make this real diy punk community alive! See you around!
the equipment (PA & the Backline) was stored in Ricecooker Shop the night before. So it’s not because of the equipment brought in late. The problem was the keys to the venue. They only got it at around 2.30pm. The guys who were handling the sound was there at the shop since 1pm.
that said, having our own PA & backline would be mucho excellento!

you can’t judge a band while they’re playing all covers when all of their original tunes are totally different from the covers they play on cover-show. 🙂
