Folk The System! Acoustic Punk Rock Night! Calling for Bands & Performers!
The Ricecooker Shop and Bau-Bau Cafe, also collectively known as Anjung Bising is planning for a series of Acoustic Punk Rock shows on the Central Market Annexe verandah.
It will be called as FOLK THE SYSTEM! and these shows will be free for anyone to come, but there will be donation boxes for Food Not Bombs & Kudeta Kolektif.
The first night will be on Saturday 7th July 2007, and we are calling for participants! No electric equipment, only percussion and acoustic guitars! Musically it can be anything as long as it’s raw and angry! No payment for performers but there’ll be free food and lots of fun.
Everybody is invited, and there’s no pressure to perform well. You can fuck up all you want!!

shock system would like to say thanks to bau-bau cafe and ricecooker shop for putting up the show and calling us to play last nite. the whole show was awesome! we had a blast(though my guitar was out of tune, and our replacement guitarist was nervous! well it is “a nite of twisted frets and broken strings” rite? hahaha!), we had fun! gratitude to joe, hisham, poodien, man, emel, the crew, old and new friends and everyone who came! kudos, and here’s for the next round of folk the system! awww yeahhh!!!
