THE BOLLOCKS – My Friend 7” Reissue
THE BOLLOCKS now legendary 7” released by Luk Haas’ Tian An Men 89 label in France 1996 is now being reissued by local veteran label Basement Records.
From our conversation with label owner Shammir, there are 500 pressed with 100 copies available for pre-order last month, and the rest, normal copies to start selling tomorrow 1st August. The pre-order version come in special screen-printed jackets (brown kraft paper). The rest will be on usual pro-printed.
Looking at the difference in the cover art, the original has “Underground Malaysia” printed on the upper-right of the jacket, while the reissue deleted that. On the sound quality, we are not sure whether it has been remastered or not.
Individual copies of the 7”s will be available at the Basement Record Store only. I heard there will be no mail-order (latest: mail-order is available through the band themselves, see link below). That could change, or probably different if anyone want to do trades or bulk-order.
