Me & Kid and fellow Ricecooker Shop Shitworkers would like to thank everyone who was there at the gig on just now.
Everything went smoothly, there was no problem at all and we think our friends Krass Kepala & War All The Time had a very good time too.
Our gratitude to all the bands who played, the sound-guys, the annexe people, the distro tables, bau-bau cafe, all who were there, etc. etc.

Yes of course! only if they’re tight-good-tak mabuk-can control diri atas stage-whatever show. Show macam ni bagus, campur2 Kudos to the organizer! Like wut third arm rekod did last time, bagus dapat jumpa kawan2 satu scene. Osmantikos best gilerrr,superb. Blood tak skrimo langsung pun? macam band punk yang lain jer

crusty ka, emo ka, metal ka, indie ka, apa ka, if they are musically and ideally profound and if organizer got the chance (dude, gig on average 5-10 bands main; kwn punya la ramai, sume ada band, byk pening la everytime mau organize gig mau select band list yg blh puaskan hati semua org – that being one of the reason we at papakerma always do invite bands of people we had never known) sudah tentu akan di ajak =)
crusty ka, emo ka, metal ka, indie ka, apa ka, if they sucks (as a band or as an individual/a person), they SUCKS. as simple as that =)
x boleh ker band2 mcm blood on wedding dress main kat gig mcm nih.. x semestinya band crusty jer anti perang.. sempadan muzik mestilah dihapuskan.. bagi aku as long band tuh bkn racist, sexist n homophobic it was ok 4 me

to comments after all, but i feel responsible as i actually called blood on wedding dress
(as i also actually in contact with war all the time and called anti protokol and fall to their death / joe kidd called modar and garrison).
oh yea, i also would like to announce that krass kepala, another d-beat (3 d-beat bands in the bill now!) from bandung will be joining the gig (they’re on their way back from a european tour).
together with joe kidd we put up this show to support war all the time tour.
sorry but we never thought of a total crust holocaust or screamo friendly show or anything like it.
its just another regular gig that we put up for touring bands. then it will be some supporting bands, that worth paying tickets for (bands are into the idea of DIY, with sensible attitude, music, lyrics, stuff like that of course) and hopefully for the touring band to enjoy.
but we do take note of Rob Kito from War All The Time saying he’s into metal and he’s other half which is not d-beat at all (heard of his other band Kito?).
and we also note that other members in the band who also part of other projects which is not only
d-beat (since when crust are narrowed down to just d-beat, i dont know)?
i do understand your complaints with attidue of the so called ‘other’ crowd,
(i experienced quite a lot of ‘awkwards’ moments myself!), but should we follow suit?

Personally I would rather see and enjoy different sort of music going, than being subjected to 7 bands playing a variation of the same style!
At some of the old gigs I was subjected to tonnes of bands playing variations of the same SONG! Well, that’s how it sounded like. Terrible boss!

alamak! this is very difficult. On behalf of bowd, we’re very sorry for all arguments and all that. Aku sendiri baru tahu ada comment2 mcmni.First of all, we want to thanks kid for asking us to play. Kami tak pernah kisah dengan apa pun, kami tak pernah kisah dengan siapa kami main, dengan band mana, dengan payment, di mana main dan sebagainya. Asalkan ianya diy, non-profit gig seperti sblom2 ni. Kami tak pernah sempadankan muzik, memilih kawan dan sebagainya. Sumpah tak pernah! Kalau nk buat mcmtu, mesti dah awal2 kami tolak. Ish ish. About banging atau duduk diam kat crowd tu, takkan every band perform nak kena lompat2 kan. Orang lain pun rasanya tak macamtu. But we really enjoy crusty muzik, anti protokol pun kawan rapat kami gak. Macam war all the time, krass kepala mmg kami x pernah dgr la sebelum ni. Sebab tu teringin nak tgk. Kami cuma band kecik semut yang teringin nak jumpa ramai org, nak tgk dunia luar dan nak dgr muzik org lain. Sorry kalau ada org tak suka bowd, mintak maaf byk2. oh oh oh marilah kita semua berkawan.

i agree with Kid on the most part (not to say i dont agree with anyone else, but i just scanned through this page gitu gitu je)….as a fellow show organizer i put bands on the bill based not on their sound but their attitude.
lyrics, sound, appearance, dbeat or keroncong or screamo rambut macam mop… to me is masing masing, we are free to agree or disagree.
but attitude, how they see things as a band and how they are part of the scene, their ethics, etc…is what counts to me.

and to all msgboard heroes, for me blood on wedding dress is one of malaysian finest band.
I’m not one of their fan or whatsoever but i do see how the bands evolved and making their way to tour indonesia and japan.
People wont invite you to tour their countries unless you have good attitude and of course, great music.
Yeah Mr Kid, your band selection for this gig is alright!
Unity is dead, but becoming one is not impossible.
