‘Kurasa Something’
Final Year Project (FYP), together with Central Market Annexe and Theatrical Records, will be organizing a charity show and bazaar on the 29th of December 2007.
‘Kurasa Something’, a combination of two labels ‘Kurasa Raksasa vs Lakukan Something’, will see independent clothing labels selling their wares, together with entertaining performances by big names in the fringe music scene.
Proceeds will go straight to the Autism Intervention Programme Nasom-Kiwanis Club Bukit Kiara.
On the surface, this project may look like any other charity program. But it is actually a ‘charity for charity’ program. ‘Kurasa Something’ will kick off a whole series of charity events, that will not only involve the public, but also charity homes, to help another charity home.
For ‘Kurasa Something’, the clothing label Kurasa Raksasa will sell limited edition ‘Kurasa Something’ t-shirts. Money collected from this sale will be used to buy blank t-shirts and some art and painting material. Next, children from Kiwanis will draw some designs on t-shirts and these t-shirts will be put up on sale during the next FYP bazaar. Like a cycle, the proceeds from that t-shirt sale and bazaar will go to another chosen charity home.
‘Kurasa Something’ will start at 1pm and will end late. Entry will cost RM13, and visitors will be able to listen to sounds of local bands like Deepset and They Will Kill Us All while shopping, or party to the music of The Works later in the evening.
Special guest band of the day will be Singaporean band, I Am David Sparkle.
Among the brands that will have a booth during the bazaar are Pop Malaya, Third Arm Records, Dirtee, Defy and few others.
‘Kurasa Something’ is open to all ages. Come and do your part for charity!
About FYP
FYP is a project done by a collective of young Malaysians who wants to change the general people’s perception of the entertainment. They are made of young professionals and final year students of various disciplines from local universities.

FYP wholeheartedly would like to thank everybody who made Kurasa Something a success. Annexe Central Market and Theatrical records, thank you for being our partners in crime. The brands and labels that set up their booths, we hope you had a good sale and thank you for staying around throughout the day. The bands that performed and entertained the crowd, you guys did a great job. The wonderful, charitable people who came and spent money on Kurasa Something t-shirts, the gig, or the bazaar, we shake your hands in spirit and thank you for contributing to charity. From the gig entry collection alone, we have managed to collect RM1205.
Really, we can’t thank you enough. All of you. Even those who have silently supported us or helped us out before, during and after event.
