This show has been deemed “illegal” by the Georgetown police and Penang’s TDC! Those attending are being threatened with arrest and charged under “Section 27 of the Police Act 1967 for participating in an illegal assembly”! And under Section 27 (5) of the Police Act, an illegal gathering is, upon conviction, punishable with a fine of between RM2,000 to RM10,000 and imprisonment of not more than a year. Section 27 (4) of the same Act, meanwhile, provides for a maximum fine of RM10,000 and/or three months jail!

All that hoo-ha and flexing of (flabby) muscle over a bunch of pre-pubescent children doing a 20-minute performance with cardboard cut-outs?
