Public Image Limited: Reunion & UK Shows

PIL is a huge band in the ricecooker household, especially the earlier stuff with Jah Wobble on deep wobbly dub bass, Keith Levene on drug-addled fractured guitars and of course Mr. Lydon. We LOVE ’em! But this sudden reunion is a bit of a downer, Wobble and Levene are NOT joining in. Apparently Wobble declined “unless we record new material”, while Levene could have been by-passed altogether.

Anyway, so who’s Lydon gonna play with? Well, two ex-PIL from the later days; namely Lu Edmunds (The Damned) and Bruce Smith (The Pop Group) and one guys on drums who used to play with Madonna or something. Will it be good? I believe it’ll be as good as you get in terms of nostalgia nowadays.
