Heavy Forces Records: Antacid LP – Out Now!
A bit late, but better late… Antacid comes from Kajang, Selangor, the label Metal Forces Records is from Germany and this release is probably the 1st 12″ vinyl full-length album featuring a Malaysian “underground” band.
Yes, we have a lot of vinyl 7″s featuring Malaysian bands released on many labels overseas, there are also some split 10″s too BUT there has never been an LP! THIS IS THE FIRST ONE!
NOPE!! Sorry to burst your bubble! This is actually the SECOND LP from the local scene, not first. Why? Well, KLANGMUTATIONEN had an LP out early last year boss!! Remember this posting: “Klangmutationen LP available now”.
The quality of ANTACID’s LP is not up to par though, in fact it is taken from Antacid’s demo tracks but it’s a fine rockin’ 80s thrash metal revival which pioneering local bands such as Punisher and Nemesis have never ever managed to record, nor release. Yup! This is still rather special!
