Fascist Insect!

Our old acquaintance Encik Mat Ribis AKA Thee Doctor, who used to sing for Kuantan’s Enslaved Chaos and now residing in Cleveland, Ohio has just recorded a few tracks with his friends there and named this new project as FASCIST INSECT.

Four of the songs are now available on the band’s MySpace page. Here’s the note there: “This band basically started as a one-man project of songs that I had laying around for a few years… The songs in question were recorded at Granite Angel studios between December 2006 and January 2007. They were produced by Dave Snider and Thee Dr. and engineered by Dave Snider, with additional engineering by Lisa Kimpel. Lisa also contributed automated drums, vocals and keyboards and Dave contributed vocals, samples/effects and additional guitar. The tentative live line-up includes J Galarza (From Here On Out, Shambles), Lisa Kimpel (Adrenaline, Autonomy) and Thee Dr. (Autonomy, Enslaved Chaos).”

Fascist Insect at the moment sounds like a furious collision of extreme metal and mid-period Ministry. Can’t say I like all the songs featured but this one is really banging good:
