Jabat Erat Dari Yogya!

Kami berada di Gampingan, Yogja sekarang. In the next few minutes we will be playing with 5 local bands on the grounds of this art museum/gallery. They are Black Boots, Steak Daging Kacang Ijo, Human Chaos, Death Control and Black Resistance. Baru aja siap setup PA and back-line on the heavily graffiti-ed badminton court. It will be out in the open.

It has been a good tour. We are meeting with so many excellent people, right from Bandung to Bogor to Jakarta/Tangerang and now in Yogya. We got here on Wednesday via train from Jakarta, and have been staying at the Taring Padi house about 20 minutes out of town, in a kampung area.

Tomorrow we leave at 8pm on the train to Jakarta, where we are going to go to Marjinal’s house and stay there for the night. On Sunday, we will be playing with 26 bands in Pondok Cabe, a benefit gig for poor people in the area. Later that night we’ll play the last show of the tour in Kemang (where all the “bule” hang out). It will be a show with our old friend Chris band and their friends. It’s gonna be a mix of styles from psychedelic rock to indie and stuff.

On Monday we’ll board the plane back to KL at 8.00 am. And then it will end.

p/s: I know many of you are wondering about what gonna happen with the shows at the annexe. Sorry for going off on this tour without settling the matter. It was quite a hectic time all of us. But i will try to save all the shows booked when I get back. Sabar ya!
