Yup, a huge show by the travelling circus clowns who have been pedalling round half of the globe for the last 7 years!! To be supported by long-silent punky-reggae combo Kuchalana!
CYCLOWN CIRCUS?
“Brains the magnitude of dingleberries. We travel by bicycles altered in such a fashion that our feet fail to touch the pavement while straddling the saddle. This occasionally presents us with certain problems with respect to local laws (unjust laws, in our opinion. We are trained professionals, of course!) but more often provides the adequate solution to those troubles we face at post soviet borders, in traffic against irritated rush hour drivers, or at fruit bearing trees and farm walls. Through 33 countries, a handful of autonomous regions and supposed countries recognized by neither the UN nor the rest of the “civilized” western world, crossed over a period of 6 years, we have somehow emerged with relatively few scars but a veritable phone directory of interesting, bizarre, clever, talented, religious, atheist, insane, and/or humorous people around the world that have enlightened us with their stories. Blowing hot jazz has now brought us to the tropical climates, currently Malaysia and soon south towards equatorial Indonesia and Philipinas.”

they already went there, i don’t remember exactly when but mid June and back here again on 2nd July. They contacted/met Farah and a friend of Melissa(fallen world)which is i forgot the name before the went there.. they did couple of shows – street, club, very ‘corporate’ restaurant, infiltrate in the art festival,etc. Check their website at: http://www.spaz.org/~cyclown/

It was a good show. I enjoyed it. Kuchalana had Jiji (from SPUTUM) on drums but original drummer Apuk was there too, enjoying the jazz by the Cyclowns. I have to say, from now on Kuchalana is ready to play a lot of shows, since they now have another drummer than can be slotted in if Apuk’s not available.
The night saw only 30 paying crowd though. Very bad attendance. But everybody was paid, even though not in big numbers.
