An exhibition-workshop-symposium advocating the use and existence of independent press and print. Initiated by DIY hardcorepunk label Prohibited Projects and supported by www.LIONCITYDIY.com, this event aims to highlight and promote the analogy and politics of DIY publications and art. It will also feature talks and demonstrations by active zinesters and home silkscreen printers, as well as exhibit coherent and existing material from the hardcore punk circles.
Featuring open-mic talks from the writers from:
Zerox zine, Awareness zine, Crooked zine, These Words Could Kill zine, Lucidity zine (Ireland) as well as archives of zines all over…
Demonstrations/exhibits/silkscreened material presented by members of:
Thrash Steady Syndicate, Azadghei Records, My Precious, Shak Tii and more….
Also a video screening of MARJINAL “On De Giks” (Indonesian anarcho street punks, also active artists) as well as a cheesy demonstrational video on DIYing your own prints!
